ParticipantI am new to this platform and am unsure if I made my last post correctly or not, so I am reposting it.
Hi Dustin,
I am in the process of obtaining my loan originator license. I have taken the 20-hour course and am currently studying for the SAFE exam. I have not yet looked into career placement, as my primary focus is tackling this exam.
Once becoming a newly licensed originator, is it possible to start from ground zero in a remote position? Also, do you know what success is obtainable as a primarily remote loan officer?
Thank you in advance for your time, and I look forward to your response.

KeymasterAnything is possible. 🙂 However, it is not recommended nor advisable to launch your own business without having a fantastic support system in place which includes training and mentorship. Iron sharpens iron and we are a collection of the people we surround ourselves with. When you work remote you are the only piece of iron and when you work remote you are the collection of yourself.

ParticipantAre there companies that allow for the support to work remotely?

KeymasterMost definitely – but it might be difficult to get off on the right foot if you’re working remotely while just getting started in the industry. There are companies out there that support this type of business model.
